Promoting tourism & trade in and around Hunstanton, Norfolk

Constitution of Hunstanton Chamber of Trade

Our membership of volunteers will:

  • have the right to submit a motion to be included on the next agenda and are actively encouraged to do so.

  • consider and promote all measures as may improve and secure the trading and commercial interests of Hunstanton and its neighbouring villages.

  • create and foster a spirit of goodwill and unity among business people of the town and by meetings, discussions, lectures, debates, conferences and other functions to provide facilities for social intercourse between all members.

  • recognise that we are only as effective as the strength of our membership and will therefore encourage old and new members to actively participate in our meetings.

  • advance and promote commercial and technical education.

  • support the principles of fair trading.

  • appoint a representative to attend and vote at meetings on behalf of the Chamber.

  • lobby members of the Town and Borough Councils concerning matters of interest to Chamber members.

  • be represented at the Tourism Board Forum for West Norfolk where the Chamber is a member.

The objectives of the Hunstanton & District Chamber of Trade are paramount behind everything we do and it is essential for the prosperity of our town and district that we work together to ensure they are applied at all times but particularly in the current difficult economic climate.

If you can spare some time come along and see how you can be part of our work and help us to improve the environment in which we live and work.
